Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, conservative icon and leader of the Republican Revolution, officially announced today his endorsement of Nathan Deal's candidacy for governor of Georgia.

"On taxes, regulations, the sanctity of life, Second Amendment rights, health care and the role of government, Georgia Republicans have a champion in Nathan Deal," Gingrich said. "I know Nathan Deal personally, and I was honored to work alongside him fighting for our shared conservative values. Conservative Georgia Republicans want two things: A principled leader we can trust in troubled times and a strong candidate who will win in November. I encourage them to vote for Nathan Deal on July 20."
